6 Homestay accommodation (Epsom, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge)
Thames Valley Summer Schools arranges accommodation with private families as an intermediary and acts solely as a paying agent for the accommodation on behalf of the student. “Families” as used in the expression “host families” is a generic term and can comprise, for example, a husband and wife and children, a retired couple whose children have left home or a single mother with children.
Local transport at Epsom, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge, if transport by bus is necessary, is included in course fees.
Bicycles belonging to host families are sometimes lent to students. Student registrations which state that the students must not ride bicycles will be complied with.
7 Spending money and clothes
Students are advised to arrive with enough English money for the first day in this country. £75 a week spending money is suggested, although this may vary according to the individual. The English climate is famous for its unpredictability and Thames Valley Summer Schools recommends that students bring some warm, waterproof clothing as well as light summer wear.

Parents are responsible for making their own insurance cover arrangements and should be aware that there are other insurance providers available. Thames Valley Summer Schools shall not be liable for any contracts of insurance entered into as a result.
