Thanks largely to the appeal of the castle, Windsor has developed the sort of facilities usually found only in larger towns – two railway stations, a theatre, a brand new shopping complex and several hotels. It is 30km west of London and 10 km from Heathrow airport.

Going to school

Classes are held at East Berkshire College, which is right in the centre of the town. Average bus trip time from your host family to the college is 15 minutes.

New development

The College has a new multi-million pound campus.  Full of light and beautifully designed, it boasts the very latest in IT access. The town’s Leisure Centre (opened by Prince Philip in 1997) is one of the best-equipped in the UK.
