Directly opposite the college is
Madame Tussaud’s and The
Planetarium. Just beyond that lies Regent’s
Park with its boating lakes, tennis courts, zoo
and open-air theatre. A 15 minute walk away
is Oxford Street, Bond Street and all the attractions of London’s West End.

"I enjoyed the university, teachers, excursions and London. Most interesting was discovering people from many countries and becoming friends with people who think differently... it makes you open your mind!"

English for work
Our teaching programme here is designed to help you pass the new Trinity College Spoken English for Work examination.
This focuses specifically on the speaking and listening skills that you're likely to use in work situations. Since most international companies are increasingly reliant on the English language, these skills can be vital to success in your future career.
The examination can be taken at four different levels - B1 (intermediate) to C1 (advanced) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language. Each takes the form of conversations with a Trinity examiner and lasts from 15-30 minutes, depending on your level.
One conversation will be face-to-face. Another will be by telephone. The main topic will be work-related and chosen by yourself from the Trinity syllabus. But, at the same time, you'll be expected to demonstrate your use of English in social situations.
Your timetable
On your first day, you’ll take an oral test to show us which level of the examination you should be sitting. You’ll then be placed in a class small enough (on average 9 students) to ensure that you receive plenty of individual attention. Monday to Friday, you’ll have five lessons per morning – with each lesson lasting 40 minutes.
Working from the most up-to-date text books – including our own unique Student Activity Book, you’ll be thoroughly prepared for the examination. Discussions, conversations and presentations will, as much as possible, reflect real-life work situations. And you’ll practise this 'working' English often enough for it to seem entirely natural to you.
Students taking the examination at a higher level will be expected to seize the initiative in conversation. Confidence is the key to this and, with our intensive training, it is something that is quickly developed.

Results come through on the same day as the examination. Your Trinity certificate will be sent to you 12-13 weeks later.
High level living
The campus recently enjoyed a £14 million face-lift, which has included a complete redesign of the 23-storey student building.
Each storey is made up of two separate flats. Each flat has six beds in single or twin rooms, depending on availability. And each shares a fully equipped kitchen/diner. The rooms themselves are all cleverly designed to incorporate their own shower unit, lavatory, washbasin, built-in wardrobe and integral desk with internet connection.
Most of your needs are met without the need to leave the campus. On the ground floor, you'll find a coin-operated laundrette, a cafe and a student common room offering pool, computer games and a TV/DVD. There is also a restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast and either lunch or dinner (included in your fees).
The reception desk is manned 24 hours a day and, for additional security, there is CCTV. You'll be given your own swipe card for access to the campus and to your room. So, you can come and go as you please.
Senior staff live on the campus, which means there is always someone around to give you support and guidance.
A busy social life
Getting to know London is as much a part of the course as getting to know the language. And with so much to see and do, you may need some help from our staff to point you in the direction of London's landmarks and help you buy reduced-price tickets for theatre, cinema and concerts.
In addition to taking yourself into London whenever you want, you can join us on organised trips, twice a week, to the main museums and galleries.
Every Saturday, there's a full-day excursion to historic towns like Canterbury, Cambridge or Windsor - with transport by coach or train.
In the evenings, depending on the dates you are here, there are get-togethers for cinema, ten-pin bowling or bar-quizzes. You can also take in a West End musical, a visit to the London Eye or a sight-seeing tour by open-top bus. These are all included in the fees.
