A royal favourite

Set on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames, Richmond was the location of Henry VII and Elizabeth I’s favourite royal home. Today, it has five times more green and open space than any other London borough. There are two Royal Parks. The Royal Botanical Gardens are within easy walking distance. Hampton Court Palace is a short bus ride away.

Going to classes

Classes are held in the modern buildings of Richmond upon Thames College. There is an indoor sports hall on campus for basketball, badminton, volleyball and five-a-side football. Tennis courts and swimming pools (25m indoor and outdoor) are to be found in parkland alongside the Royal Botanical Gardens.
